ForumsSoftware ← Sumu in Protools (via BlueCat)

I just grabbed the latest build (1.0.0b15) to get around the beta expiry message. That was solved straight away, but now the AU that I load up inside Blue Cat patchwork crashes protools instantly. I have then opted for the VST3 version which opens, but receives no MIDI data/makes no sound.

My setup is an Intel mac on OS 12.7.5 running protools 2023.12 and using Blue Cat as the carrier for Sumu.

Not sure exactly what to try next in terms of troubleshooting this?
Any thoughts much appreciated!

Thanks for the report. Sorry to hear things went backwards on this one platform. I guess the next step is for me to get a copy of Patchwork and try it here.

Also please add your computer hardware info. Sumu currently requires Apple's Metal library, here's a list of compatible computers: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102894

Sorry for delayed response! My machine is a 2014 Mac Mini so according to that link would have Metal 2 support. I checked in the system report and it says:
"Metal Family: Supported, Metal GPUFamily macOS 1" so I assume that's a good thing?

Yes, you're good on the Metal front, I think all the product lines had it by 2012.
