Absent a Search field, I'll post this and hope it hasn't come up too often. The question is third party presets, their visibility and, being invisible in some situations, their utility.
Where I can see them: Cubase 7.5 & Live -- Aslto as VST
Where I can't see them: Numerology 4 & Live -- Aalto as AU
I gather there's some issue about the economics of providing compatible versions in AU format? But, I also read that the 'ml' format should be visible no matter what, i.e., VST or AU, any host.
And I see there is a conversion option in the menu system, but it doesn't find anything to convert when I ask it to.
If I can see them sometimes, they must be installed in the right location.
So what's the story and, more importantly, what's the solution? Numerology is rather an important part of my tool set. Frankly, this shouldn't be so hard. Or frustrating.

Sorry the preset situation is a bit frustrating right now. The preset converter has been broken in version 1.5. I'm fixing it and also moving to a new unified preset format for 1.6. This will be out very soon.
I plan to add search to the site, but meanwhile you can use Google with a query like "site:madronalabs.com presets" to see results.
Thanks, Randy. I look forward to the update. ...edN
