Hello Randy, just played with he very good software VCV and thniked to you, it's an open modular platform for audio, the autor port mutable modules and other things and give a tutorial to build some module for the VCV plateform, it will be awesome to see madrona modules in it??? Lot of work to convert every part of your vst in differents module for this plateform?

Yes, one wonders how or if they are going to do that! I have not yet tried this but I'm interested to find out if it's "commercial quality" in terms of efficiency, sound quality etc.
It doesn't have the magic of VOX. Anytime I use a soft modular that doesn't have that, I feel like I'm walking on the ground. The VOX in Aalto and Kaivo makes me feel like I'm flying. Or dancing.

I would welcome VCV modules from MadronaLabs, but as far as I know there is no copy protection for commercial modules. Maybe smaller freeware modules could be an idea.
Softube Modular is another platform, where time investment for high end modules possibly would make more sense. It is protected with iLok.
But it may not take long until such platforms (there are more) will have VST/AU hosting capabilities, and it may make more sense to continue developing these plugin standards.
VCV Rack is wonderful! The developer community is going crazy - there are over 300 modules available for it already. I would love to see MPE support, and/or a 3rd party MPE module for Soundplane integration. Hint hint to you programmers out there...

It's 1 voice at the moment, but 4-voice polyphony is soon to come.
the issue with VCV rack is that they should have diverged from the 'physical world' for polyphony... i.e. where modules and cables could be polyphonic.. like they can in Reaktor (not blocks) and a few other software modulars (e.g. P900)
having used Reaktor Blocks with MPE, the novelty of wiring up multiple voices soon becomes pretty tedious.
one of those times, where the software version should be not restricted in the same way as eurorack.
(anyway this is why I didn't bother creating a T3D or MPE module, like I did for Blocks/Reaktor)
A number of developers are currently selling modules, or giving away some modules and selling others.
I suppose VOX could be simulated by having a module that produces an array of constant voltages, or a CV divider with a series of outputs. But one would have to manually reproduce the patch X number of times and then manually route that CV to each module of interest. Not the same.
I have now made the QuadMPE to CV for VCV. I'd say it has flourished as a nice opensource project but they could use someone with expertise in making it lightweight on the GPU and optimize the audio engine. Right now GPU and CPU usage is a big issue.
