Initialise patch ( 1 monovoice is enough )
Route main env to volume , let the main envelope be controlled by the sequencer ( instant attack , short decay, no sustain ) )
In the sequencer , lock to host , steps 4 , stepwidth 50% , no loop ,enable Key trig and ratio 1/1
Draw in some notes ( quantised to =12 )
Now place a note in your daw every half measure
With each trigger the sequencer should play 4 notes during the duration of a quarter note and then silence during the duration of a quarter note
The bug is that is sometimes only plays 3 notes instead of 4
This bug has been here since aalto was released almost a decade ago
Here's an audiolink to the bug

Oh yeah , this is the latest version !
Edit :it's actually the first note that is skipped
Great to hear an Aalto 2 is coming
I hope you don't mind me saying this , but I wa never really a fan of the osc waveform crossfading in Aalto .
It would be great to have that typical Buchla spike when transitioning from sine to square
Thanks for the report. What I'm hearing is that during the recording the problem happened 2 or 3 times and each time it's the last note in the sequence of 4 that does not play.
We'll be releasing Aalto 2 soon which has some internal code changes to the sequencer. Unlike in 2010 we are making automated tests for correctness and I'll add one to cover this situation.
Good to hear
