Hi,

I should start by saying this synth is pretty amazing... the sounds I was able to make in no time were absolutely fantastic. Now, I am just a trial user, but I noticed that you are open to ideas from forum members, so I thought I'd lend my two cents. I must confess that while its simplicity lends heavily to its uniqueness, I would really love to see more Oscillator options like a second fine-tunable oscillator, and perhaps pulse width control for the square wave. These would really make for some funky sounds. Ultimately, I find that the best thing about Aalto is the unique rhythmic patterns that can be generated by feeding all kinds of triggers into the sequencer. Now, I'm not sure how hard it is to implement this, but imagine triggering other vintage synth plugins (or triggering Moog Modular V's built in sequencer for even more percussive madness) with Aalto's one of a kind sequencer... it would just sound absolutely ferocious.

All this said I look forward to buying Aalto soon (if it had Midi Out post sequencer I would probably tighten the belt and go right for it!) and thanks anyways for bringing us this amazing synth.

thanks for the response, Randy.

An excellent example (which inspired this idea) I could point you to is the VST version (not part of the AU version whatsoever) of AudioRealism Bassline 2. You can enable midi out and use its 303-style sequencer to trigger anything. I took my laptop by my friends' house and we were triggering his Voyager with 303 patterns. (Yeah, 303 patterns with tight, snappy Moog envelopes... you really have to try it)

just imagine the same thing done with Aalto... that is the stuff dreams are made of :)
