After playing around with Sumu for some time, it has quickly become my favorite synth. Here are some ideas that would make it even better in my opinion:
- Add the ability to save individual presets for the space module. It takes considerable time to create a great patch within the space module, so being able to recall settings for use in other patches would be highly beneficial.
- Adjust versioned preset naming to use a sequential format like 01, 02, 03 ... 11, 12, etc. Currently, presets are named 1, 11, 12 ... 2, 3, etc., which is not ideal for comparing multiple versions of the same patch.
- Enable slower LFO rates. The current lowest value isn't slow enough for creating truly slow-evolving patches.
- Allow lower values for LFO amounts. Even the lowest setting is often not subtle enough for precise adjustments.
- Add LFO control for the attenuverters.
- Prevent button values from changing immediately upon clicking. This behavior makes it difficult to dial in tones with precision.

Thanks for your reply! Regarding point 6, adjusting the value of a knob currently requires clicking on it first and then dragging to change its position or value. For example, when the position of the "time" knob is set to 2 and needs to be changed to 1.5, the expected behavior would allow clicking on a random spot on the knob—such as around value 3—and dragging it to 1.5. However, the current behavior causes the value to jump to 3 upon clicking. Scrolling instead of clicking works as expected, but the values change too quickly for precise adjustments. Another idea would be to implement fine adjustments by holding down SHIFT.
Playing around with Vutu for the first time, I notice that every sound I import (.wav files, tried .aiff as well, short 2 second samples as well as longer 40 sec. samples) sound horribly distorted when playing back before resynthesis (using the "play" button besides "analyze"). The same distortion gets applied to the resynthesis. Am I doing something wrong? M1 pro, sequoia 15.1.1
Edit: nevermind, the distortion went away after closing live and restarting vutu.
Made an account just to add that I have the exact same problem, no sound for most patches. Latest beta, Live 12, Sonoma 14.5. Love the sounds when it works, but unfortunately unusable as is.
