ForumsSoftware ← AALTO 1.4 Incompatible with Live Suite 8.2.6 Under OS X 10.5.8 ?

I've been using AALTO 1.3 without incident within both Live Suite 8.2.6 & Plogue Bidule 0.9724.
(On the other hand, AALTO 1.3 has always been conspicuously absent from Logic Pro 9.0 in my experience.)
After downloading and installing first the 1.4 Demo, followed by the personalized
version of AALTO 1.4 - I find that AALTO 1.4 no longer works in either of the aforementioned applications.
In the case of Live Suite 8.2.6, when I try to launch AALTO 1.4 - although a new midi track is created - it contains no instance of AALTO 1.4 ! ?
Thus I've re-installed AALTO 1.3, which once again is working well.
Nice to get some new presets however.
All of the above is running on a MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core Duo under OS X 10.5.8.
Any suggestions ???

Hi there,

It appears I broke support for OS 10.5. Sorry for the inconvenience. I plan to fix this for the next update.

Be advised that support for 10.5 won’t last forever though. It gets harder over time to add new features while keeping backwards compatibility.

Thanks!

I definitely understand that backwards compatibility can't be maintained in perpetuity,
but it would be nice if I could at least get as far as the upcoming paid upgrade.

Does this mean that the physical modeling plug-in is unlikely to support
OS X 5.8 and Live Suite 8.2.6?

I’ll try not to break 10.5 compatibility unless there is a good reason.
