Hey all,
I have a sample of three chords playing (sequentially) loaded into the granulator. I'm trying to create some interesting sounds by triggering the granulator with the sequencer, and having different voices starting with slight delays compared to each other.
When I switch from one voice to multiple, I get the desired effect. However, I can't figure out how to control the delay between the voices. It seems to depend on when and how I increase the voices control.
Is this not possible, or am I missing something?
You could use the "vox" output of the key module to send a different x offset of the granulator position to each voice. This should be more predictable than trying to change the number of voices on the fly.
This works when I stop the looping, and restart it, but not when I'm changing the number of voices while playing.
I guess I should send a reset message when I change the number of voices? So I'll try that when the new version arrives.
I can also look at making the behavior more predictable when changing the number of voices. That is not something I ever thought about using as a kind of performance control, so I didn't test it in that use. But it seems useful, so I'll put it on the list.
The beta that's currently out for Mac should have a fix for the sequencer retrig issue.
