My first tests are ok with Aalto, looks powerful...
check synthopia post for details

yes ! cool news Randy !
can't wait to test this baby

shared on our Experimental Music Software and Hardware group

hello, if you are interested, i have made a patch in Usine Hollyhock doing this, need to clean up a bit, but i can share it

Really glad to see AaltoVerb out , sounds really nice,
a bit disappointed i can't use it on my Mac bookPro 2015 / yosemite, happily works on my Mac Mini 2012 !?
mail sent about Paypal request too ;-)

So here the configuration in Usine Hollyhock.
Simply drag an audio source rack(here a granular sampler in rack1) in the rack input of the Virta rack, add your MIDI device, done

Some nice demos here guys, congrats !

same for me,of course and happy holidays everyone !

Roger Linn work on this prototype since a while now, but things become more precise and really promising. Of course we think to the Soudplane. LinnStrument can have several layouts...but not the nice look of the Soundplane ;-)

LinnStrument

Some cool sounds in the test pack, will follow this

thanks to share your work

here the second conference

2 minutes with no sounds but a lot of fun and a scoop, will be Green !;-)

yes, really cool to see Randy talking about soundplane right now ;-)

Many good news those days, Kaivo and Aleph will be great new products I'm sure of that !
I've finally decide to also buy an MTRX-8 a weeks ago, seems to be a product in the same "vibes", have to wait one month too..
time to find more cash.. ;-)

wish you the best for Kaivo Randy !

hello,
If you are interested in random and Aalto, here a patch ( work in progress)made for Usine sensomusic.org, works with the current free version (Mac and Pc)
Be sure to sets you Plug-in folder with Aalto (and do a rescan) before loading the patch
Download

Here a little part
here a little part

There's also a switch Usine /Aalto: use it to alternate edit mode: in Aalto mode you can change parameters from the Aalto Gui, inverse for the Usine mode.

you can also create automation with the record icon ( click this icon , then move a knob on Usine gui)

ask if you need Help

Here what i call a good teaser post ! :-)

hello all
first congrats again for this fantastic creative tool

now some newbie question : here a patch , i don't understand how to send the steps values to the pitch and why here I've 3 steps and then 2 more..
in the quickstart, i see that we can assign a step per voice, but how do you choose the voice you work on..?

Hello randy ,
I've made a quick video to show you the way i use Aalto in Sensomusic Usine, i first show how the preset manager can store each change, even the patching ones or program changes, then i use the conductor to store bigger sets with fade time change.

you'll notice strange un-synchonization between video and sound after a while, it's because i record sound with Usine and screen capture with an other software with different frame rate.

maybe this can give you some inspiration

here the link

Really cool trip randy, I'm jealous ;-), energy must be quiet cool in such a place, love trees too.
Have you capture some sounds..?

Thanks a lot Randy, works fine here for me since yesterday evening, and I'm agree, the new sound is really impressive, do you always create different little variations per downloads..?

New guy is fantastic. I was a little surprised first by the frequency slider, really speed, but it's ok now.

Is OSC t3D implementation a classic format and how to too know the good address..? usable with something else than Soundplane..?

Thanks again and long life to Madronna labs ! ;-)

Edit :
2 small things ( maybe better to open a new thread, don't know, but:

_what is the midi program change code you use, don't seems to work here ..?

_small typo issue: in my reel name there's a "éa" and in this version, it's become é ..... ;-)

Cool teaser Randy ! Impatient to test this new baby !

Thanks porify and garf, some amazing sounds here ! thanks to share

look for a preset named subhop2 by the user Garf in the patch thread, can be a good start

hé hé yes ! good idea, i will change this for sure !

Thanks, yes, you can try the free version but you'll be quickly limited.
Not really the good place (sorry Randy) but you can also use our actual spring promo for the stage version.
et bonjour à vous ;-)

This post has given me the inspiration to create a new wiki page for Usine, a tutorial for applying selective randomization on VSTi like Aalto, maybe you can find it useful.

Now, i can really create more precise and creative presets, thanks for that !

check here

waiting for this, i know at least 2 host who can do the job (except the patcher of course ), Cantabile lite and Sensomusic Usine.. ?

Congrats and thanks for this cool rain, really inspiring

For more and different modules, look to a future product.

is this a kind of Teaser Randy... ? ;-)

Hello can't resit to show you a preview of a workspace I'm working on, it's a interface made with Usine (http:/sensomusic.com) to use Aalto with a tactile screen, the Usine conductor add some morphing features too, also add a random midi notes module with synchro options (not used here).
lot's of fun !

Here some screenshot:

And a video preview
