I am trying to load my own tuning files into aalto but I cannot find the folder where they are stored. I can find the Presets folder in the

C:\Users\Will\AppData\Roaming\Madrona Labs\Aalto\Presets

Folder but there is no Scale or Tuning folder for me to check out. Also done searches through my computer for the different Tuning names but that didn't work either.

Hi folks, just spent the last hour or so creating a full fledged Lemur controller for Aalto. Really lovely for messing around with sounds in a new way quickly :) doesn't have support for patch cables of course but every other switch/knob/fader works perfectly in the template.

There's also an Ableton Live 9 project in there with aalto all mapped out for you. If you don't have Ableton 9 then you'll have to map the lemur controls to the relevant aalto controls manually. If anyone has any trouble with this let me know and I'll try to help you out :)

That's very strange, I can't find it. I see the factory patches but the tuning files elude me. I just installed the latest version in hopes that I would be able to locate it after that point...and yes I'm on Windows 7.

I have done searches for various scale names like hirajoshi and slendro and I don't get any results for aalto.

Also I dont' have an Appdata folder right in my C:/ - there are various Appdata folders in the Users folder but only one of them contains a Madrona Labs folder.

As the title says, I am having trouble getting the pitch/mod/+1/+2 commands to do anything.

I'm not sure if this is user error or not.

First, let me clarify to make sure I am understanding this correctly...

if I set the mod dial in Aalto to 1, it should 'look' for MIDI CC on channel 1 and if I move my modwheel on my keyboard (assuming my modwheel is outputting on #1) aalto should respond to that. So, if I patch the mod to the Noise module for example and turn the modulation depth of that module to 100%, I should see the noise dial change when I move the mod wheel yes?

Also, the +1 and +2 refer to the MIDI CC channels above the mod channel and aalto will 'look' at those channels. So, if I have my mod dial set to 1, the +1 and +2 should be midi CC #2 and midi CC #3, yes?

and if I'm in ableton, I go into the clip envelopes for MIDI CTRL and put automation data into midi CC #2 and midi CC #3 and I hit play but none of these automation data do anything in aalto.

oh for fucks sake, I didn't have the track armed.

I just fixed it. I am a moron. Leaving this up for anyone else who has this issue.

Loving aalto, now even more that I can use all of its modulation abilities. Feeling very sheepish.
