Hi Randy,

regarding: "One problem is that the main DAWs don't let you record audio while tweaking knobs of a synth or effect. Logic has a real time bounce, for example, but locks out control changes while it's going on."

in Logic just send the instrument track to a bus and create an additional audio track with that bus as input. You can record Aalto's output this way in realtime whilst turning knobs without having to use the bounce functionality.

This is absolutely brilliant news!

I think VERY important is duplicating the top row buttons from the Soundplane.app, especially "Quantize". This would be hard or even impossible to realize with a Eurorack modules otherwise. You could use quantizers to quantize the initial note pitch, but then you couldn't do vibrato later.

Bug: Kaivo "Tilt" parameter creating zipper noise

Hi,

the "Tilt" parameter in Kaivo is creating zipper noise when turned.

Scaling of filter parameter when controlled via MIDI controller

Hi,

when learning a controller assignment for Aalto's (1.5) filer cutoff, the scaling of the knob movements isn't very useful as it's very coarse in the low frequencies and too detailed in the high frequencies.
For example a MIDI value change from 0 to 1 makes the cutoff jump from 20Hz to 255Hz. When reaching 3 it's already at the middle position (725Hz) of the knob in the Aalto UI. This is quite a lot and makes really controlling the cutoff pretty much impossible other than for very high values.

greetings,

Thomas

FWIW, the remembering of the window size doesn't work in Kaivo (1.0) either.

It does work though in one situation - when leaving the resized window open, saving the Logic project and reopening it. When the window is closed (either by actively closing it or recalling a screenset) it doesn't.
